Always Winter...

I haven't updated this blog in over a year...I got busy with life and continue to be, but I will start posting again for our family and friends who are interested.
Winter has grown so much since her first birthday, evolving and learning and teaching and being. Above all she is a happy girl, and despite the inevitable and universally challenging periods of teething and weaning and long car rides, she really has a lot of fun.
I stopped breastfeeding a few months ago, and I guess we were both ready...it was no big deal. For a girl who loved nursing so much she adapted quickly to stories and singing before falling asleep. She is talking very gradually, I suspect because she hears two languages at home and needs to sort them out before she uses them herself. She talks more and more, and what she lacks in vocabulary, she makes up for with repetition...my little Winter Two-Two.
She is sporty and very physical, loves balancing and climbing and gets herself right back up when she falls. She loves reading books and listening to music, though I wonder what child doesn't?
I have a new computer and it doesn't want to upload any photos from Israel's camera, so until I figure that out there will be no photos, sorry.
I feel so grateful for this little person beside me in life. When I get down, she is there to remind me of all the beauty in the world, waiting to be discovered all over again. When I feel discouraged by school, I think of everything I want to do with her and I am renewed. Her shy little smile is more beautiful to me than anything I've ever seen.
So, photos soon...I promise.
